Must I have a referral from a doctor to see a physical therapist?
While some states require a referral from a physician before you can receive physical therapy, the majority of states (45 states and the District of Columbia) do not require a physician referral. You always have the freedom to choose your own physical therapist. Although a physician may refer you to a physical therapy facility in which the physician has a financial interest, you are entitled to seek treatment from the physical therapist of your choice.
Does my health insurance cover
my physical therapy?
In most cases, health insurance will cover your treatment. Please talk to us so we can help you clarify your insurance coverage. If we are not in network with your insurance company, we will endeavor to help you get reimbursed for your out of pocket expenses and we have a team of professionals to assist you with understanding this process.
